Kim Dumaine
Associate Director
Kim Dumaine serves as the Associate Director of the Ohio Assisted Living Association (OALA), bringing more than 25 years of experience in healthcare leadership and assisted living operations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Findlay and spent two decades as an Executive Director in Assisted Living Communities, where she developed deep expertise in resident care, operational management, team development, and community leadership.
At OALA, Kim oversees statewide educational programming, conference planning, and member engagement. She leads the development and coordination of OALA’s training initiatives, ensuring providers receive high‑quality, relevant, and practical education. Kim also manages OALA’s financial operations, supporting organizational stability and strategic growth. Her deep understanding of provider needs, combined with her leadership in education, programming, and member engagement, has made her a trusted partner to Assisted Living communities across Ohio.
Kim’s background also includes more than 10 years working with adolescents in counseling, behavioral health management, trauma‑informed care, and placement services. This experience contributes to her strong understanding of human behavior, crisis response, and supportive communication, skills she continues to apply in her work with providers, residents, and families.
Kim is known for her commitment to the Assisted Living industry, her practical insight into provider needs, and her ability to build strong relationships with communities throughout Ohio. Her blend of operational experience, program development expertise, and member‑focused leadership strengthens OALA’s mission and enhances the support offered to providers statewide.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys attending and watching sporting events, traveling, and spending time with her husband, family, and her dog, Kodi, and cat, Kali.
