Ohio Administrative Code Changes Regarding Infection Control in RCF’s

Learners will be guided on infection prevention and control plans, outbreak management in congregate care settings, and self-auditing of infection prevention and control

Autumn Marcum is the Nurse Education Consultant for the Healthcare-Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance (HAI/AR) Program at the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). In this role, she assists healthcare facilities with infection prevention and control practices, provides education and assistance to healthcare facilities and local health departments. Autumn joined ODH in 2023 after five years as a registered nurse in acute care, long-term care, and leadership roles. She earned her associate's degree in nursing from Central Ohio Technical College and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Herzing University. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in nursing with a concentration in public health from Herzing University. Autumn lives on a farm in Fairfield County, Ohio, and enjoys crafting and exploring with her five-year-old son.
