Darcie Anderson is the nurse educator for the Provider Resource and Education Program in the Ohio Department of Health’s Bureau of Survey and Certification. In this role, she works with nursing homes and residential care facilities to help staff better understand and meet the requirements of federal and state regulations designed to ensure clients safety, health, and quality of life. Darcie joined ODH in 2021 as a long-term care facility surveyor following more than 24 years as a registered nurse with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Malone University and a master’s degree in nursing with a concentration in nursing education from Wheeling University. Darcie lives on a Monroe County farm and enjoys working in her flower beds in her spare time.
