What You’ll Do

You’ll oversee all maintenance, grounds, housekeeping, and operational support functions, ensuring Glenmont’s facilities are safe, well‑maintained, and aligned with our healing mission. Responsibilities include:

  • Leadership & Team Oversight
    • Supervise and coach maintenance, grounds, housekeeping, and laundry staff
    • Provide training, scheduling, and performance feedback
    • Foster high‑quality work aligned with Glenmont’s mission
  • Facilities Management
    • Maintain or arrange service for all building systems, equipment, and grounds
    • Manage daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance schedules
    • Ensure furniture, nursing equipment, and resident‑facing items are clean, safe, and in excellent condition
  • Regulatory Compliance & Safety
    • Conduct and document fire, tornado, and evacuation drills
    • Maintain logs for water temperatures, generators, and life‑safety systems
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA, Life Safety Codes, and sanitation standards
  • Operations & Inventory
    • Oversee inventory systems for nursing equipment, supplies, and materials
    • Maintain warehouses, sheds, garages, and storage areas
    • Support housing readiness for students and staff
  • Project & Vendor Management
    • Coordinate repairs, renovations, and capital projects
    • Produce scopes of work and obtain proposals
    • Manage vendor relationships and contracts
  • Budgeting & Reporting
    • Track spending and submit project proposals
    • Prepare reports and presentations for the Board

What You Bring

  • 3-5+ years of facilities or maintenance leadership experience (healthcare or nursing home preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, painting, and building systems
  • Experience with OSHA, Life Safety Codes, and sanitation standards
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, work outdoors, and respond to emergencies
  • Calm, principled decision‑making and servant‑leadership qualities
